How do you know the recipe for ceramic glaze
- Nov 07, 2018 -

Salt glaze: This glaze does not need to be prepared in advance, but when the product is calcined to a high temperature, salt is put into the kiln, and the volatile matter of the salt forms a thin layer of glass material on the surface of the body.

Lead glaze: It is important to note here that this glaze part uses lead oxide as a flux and is often used together with boron oxide to strongly reduce the melting temperature of the glaze. The biggest advantage of lead and lead boring is the high gloss. It has good elasticity and can be applied to a variety of blanks and can enhance the color of the glaze. However, one thing we need to pay attention to is the danger of lead poisoning. If you don't need it, try not to use it.

Finally, let's talk about lime glaze. This glaze is mainly made up of calcium oxide as a flux, and the number of molecules of calcium oxide should account for more than half. The lime glaze has good elasticity and strong luster. It can also be burned into matt glaze and opaque glaze. The firing range is narrow, and the product is easy to smoke.

Seven ceramic glazes have been shared and I hope to help you re-recognize ceramic glazes.
